The Fine Arts Division prepares students for continuing study within the Fine and Performing Arts, promotes a cultural and aesthetic connection with the community, and provides students with a better understanding of the diverse world in which we live.

Academic Programs Offered

Art

Associate in Arts (AA) in Graphics – transfer degree that provides a foundation in art and technology.

Associate in Arts (AA) in Studio Art – transfer degree that provides foundational and continuing opportunities for the study of visual art.

Computer Graphics

Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Computer Graphics – degree provides skills in computer graphic design and latest industry software.

Media Arts

Associate in Arts (AA) Degree – prepares students for transfer to a university in the majors of broadcasting, electronic media, advertising, photography, public relations, and media arts.

Associate in Applied Science (AAS) Degree – prepares students to obtain an entry-level position in the field. Provides a foundation in basic media arts and allows students to select an area of emphasis in either photography, broadcasting, graphic arts, journalism, or television production.

Occupational Certificate – prepares students to obtain an entry-level position in the field. Provides a foundation in basic media arts and allows students to select an area of emphasis in either photography, broadcasting, graphic arts, journalism, or television production.

Music

Associate in Arts (AA) Degree – prepares students for transfer to a university and provides a solid foundation in music theory and in voice or instrumental performance training.

Theatre

Associate in Arts (AA) Degree – prepares students for transfer to a university and provides solid preparation in theatre history and the fundamentals in acting or stagecrafts.

Broadcasting

Associate in Applied Science (AAS) Degree – prepares students to obtain an entry-level position in the field. Students receive hands-on learning experiences in audio production, announcing, and performance.

Television Production

Associate in Applied Science (AAS) Degree – prepares students to obtain an entry-level position in television, production companies, and media related fields and provides a practical experience in the use of professional equipment in a television studio.
