"Gila: River of History" virtual presentation by Gregory McNamee

Event Description

Noted nature author Gregory McNamee will give a live presentation in a virtual Zoom format, titled “Gila: River of History.” The event will be co-hosted by the Arizona Western College Honors Program and AZ Speaks, a program of Arizona Humanities. It is free and open to all members of the public who register on the web using the AZ Humanities events calendar (azhumanities.org/events-calendar) and who then join the Zoom session using the link provided.

Gregory McNamee is a writer, journalist, editor, photographer, and publisher.  He is the author or title-page editor of 40 books and more than 7,000 periodical publications including articles, essays, reviews, interviews, editorials, poems, and short stories.  He is an expert on various topics related to Arizona and the Desert Southwest, including water use, archaeology, native animals, and food.
