String EnsembleMUS-70H | The string ensemble will consist of two parts: a large group (the string orchestra proper) and a number of small group (the chamber ensembles). In the large group, students will study string orchestra literature and the musical styles of many composers. They will learn how to conduct an ensemble and how to study and read scores. The small groups are multiple string ensembles which study chamber music, such as trios, quartets, etc. The class is designed for community members, high school students, and other performers.
