Sustainability Fair to educate public on reducing environmental impact

March 13, 2019

Yuma, AZ (March 13, 2019) – The 12th Annual Arizona Western College Sustainability Fair will be held on Thursday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the LR Fountain Area of the Yuma Campus, 2020 S. Ave. 8E.

The community is invited to stop by and learn various ways to reduce their personal impact on the environment and how they can promote a sustainable environment for future generations.

The Green Planet = Clean Planet themed event will feature informative and interactive booths and demonstrations as well as music, food vendors, and a sustainable lunch available for purchase for $8. There will also be opportunities for attendees to find out more about green, locally made, and long-lasting products or services while connecting with area businesses and artists.

Those that purchase lunch or reusable items will be entered into a raffle for a bicycle. Other sustainability-themed gifts will be raffled off for participants that attend 15 booths and fill up their passport card with stamps at each location.
