Susanna Zambrano Named Next Associate Dean for South Yuma County Services

Yuma, AZ (March 7, 2017)-Arizona Western College is pleased to announce that Susanna Zambrano has been named the next Associate Dean for South County Services.

 

Susanna Zambrano said, “I am honored to serve the students of South Yuma County is this new capacity and feel confident in the skills and experience that I have obtained at AWC in multiple roles, including teaching, student services, and administration. The next few years will be filled with growth and community involvement; I’m excited to be a part of it.”

 

Susie Zambrano is a graduate of Yuma High School. She earned an Associates of Arts at Arizona Western College and Bachelor’s degrees in Spanish, Psychology, and a Master’s in Education from NAU- Yuma Branch Campus. She studied abroad through Youth With a Mission at the Puerto Rico Campus and taught English in China with English First. She also obtained the Family Development Credential through AWC from the University of Connecticut. She started working as a work-study at the Career Development Department at AWC in 2002, Human Resources Clerk in 2004, Secretary for the International Program in 2006, Development Coordinator for the AWC Foundation in 2010, Adjunct Instructor of Psychology in 2011, Academic Advising and Student Services Coordinator in 2012 and is now the Associate Dean for South Yuma County. She has been a proud resident of Somerton, Arizona for over 12 years.

Susie Zambrano is one of these graduates and has demonstrated that she is a leader who works well with our students, our college, our partners, and our community."
