AWC Unveils Strategic Plan 2025 in Three Public Events

Yuma, AZ (January 18, 2018)- Residents of Parker, San Luis and the Yuma area will each have an opportunity to hear the outcome of 14 months’ strategic planning work charting a course for the next seven years for the La Paz / Yuma County college district.

Thursday, Jan 25 - Yuma (8:30 - 9:30 AM, Schoening Conference Center)

Thursday, Jan 25 - Parker (1:00 - 2:00 PM, AWC Parker Community Center)

Jan 26 - San Luis (10:00 AM, following the AWC San Luis Technology Institute ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:00 AM)

The effort was initiated by the district’s new president, Dr. Daniel P. Corr, and led by a faculty-staff task force with representation from across the service area, and national consultant Liz Murphy of CampusWorks Inc.

The presentation will cover the entire plan, and includes new mission and vision statements, organizational values, a student experience statement, as well as strategic directions and objectives. Over 2,600 people from across the district have contributed to the plan in a variety of focus groups, surveys, and workshops.

Pre-registration for the free events is available and light refreshments will be served.
