AWC Foundation Is Proud to Participate in Arizona Gives Day, April 4, 2017
March 21, 2017AWC Foundation will be joining Arizona Gives Day, along with hundreds of other nonprofits from all over the state on Tuesday, April 4, to raise much-needed funds. Through azgives.org, Arizonans will be able to support their favorite nonprofit(s) for exactly 24 hours of virtual giving to strive for additional cash incentive prizes. Sponsored by FirstBank, this 5th annual day of fundraising is a community-led effort to invest in our state.
From 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on April 4, supporters of AWC Foundation can go to azgives.org and select AWC Foundation to make a direct contribution. These donations are crucial to helping fund our local scholarship efforts throughout the year.
The Arizona Western College Foundation is a community foundation committed to helping students reach their career goals through collaborative contributions, scholarships, and grants. Last year, the AWC Foundation had over 600 students apply for scholarships to attend Arizona Western College! Although we awarded over $225,000 in scholarships during the 2016-2017 academic year, the need is greater than our resources. We believe that education is the most important and sustainable resource for individual empowerment, community advancement, and poverty alleviation. Scholarships make a difference and we need your help.
