1. When and how do I apply to ASU, NAU, or UA?

It is recommended that you apply to ASU, NAU, or UA one year in advance. Once accepted, visit your program of interest's website for additional admission requirements. Read the Transfer Checklist for additional information.

2. How do I send my transcripts to AWC for evaluation?

Contact all colleges/universities you have attended and ask them to send your official transcripts to AWC's Transfer Services Office (Po Box 929, Yuma, AZ 85366-0929). Transfer Services will evaluate your transcripts and determine course equivalencies. Check the Transferring Credits link for more information.  Evaluation process can take up to three weeks..

 

 3. How do I send my transcripts to another university?

A written request must be submitted to AWC's Enrollment Services Office by fax at (928) 344-7543, Web Advisor or by mail at:

Information needed is as follows: Full name, social security number or student ID#, date of birth, satement requesting official transcripts, name and address where to sent transcripts too and signature of student.  Currently there is no fee for transcripts.

5. How can I get help applying to universities on-line or searching for university information?

Visit the University Information link or make an appointment to see the Transfer Coordinator at (928) 344-7601.

6. What universities visit AWC?

Arizona State University, Grand Canyon University/phoenix, Northern Arizona University, University of Arizona

7. What is the Course Applicability System (CAS)?

CAS is a statewide, online, interactive advising tool. It provides information on courses, course equivalencies, and program requirements at Arizona institutions of higher education. For students who become CAS members, CAS provides information on how specific course work will transfer and apply towards a degree at a CAS institution. For instructions on how to use CAS visit the Course Equivalency link, CAS.

8. Can an AWC Academic Advisor/Academic Counselor tell me what classes will transfer to an out-of-state school?

AWC Academic Advisors/Academic Counselors can advise to Arizona public universities and schools who have established articulation agreements with AWC, such as Mohave Community College, Northern Arizona University, and University of Arizona.
