Scholarships & Grants

Scholarships are an excellent way to provide funding for education without incurring debt. Students are encouraged to apply for all scholarships for which they meet the criteria. Most scholarships presented on this page are not funded through AWC; therefore, it is imperative that students contact the awarding body with any questions or concerns.

The Financial Aid Office is available to answer general questions. However, most of the scholarships presented here are not provided by the Financial Aid Office. As such, we have no control over application dates or materials, submission requirements or awarding decisions. Students with specific questions should contact the scholarship donor or provider.

FEDERAL GRANTS

Federal Pell Grant
|
Pell Grant awards up to $5550 for the 2012-2013 academic year. The Federal Pell Grant is a need-based grant offered to eligible undergraduate students based on Expected Family Contribution (EFC). Students must complete the FAFSA to be eligible.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
|
The SEOG assists students demonstrating exceptional financial need in accordance with guidelines and funding allocations established by the Department of Education and the Office of Financial Aid.

ARIZONA STATE GRANTS
|
AZ Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnerships (AzLEAP)
|
Student financial assistance in the form of need-based grants to low-income, undergraduate Arizona resident students who have demonstrated substantial financial need. |
|
Special Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership (SLEAP)
|
SLEAP is a need-based program designed to assist sophomore, junior or senior college students with substantial financial need (as based on information reported on the FAFSA) , who are majoring in the areas of science, technology, engineering, math or education.
