Office Locations and Hours of Operation

AWC Military Services offers comprehensive service for active duty, veterans, DoD employees, and their families at MCAS Yuma and Yuma Proving Ground. You can receive academic advisement, register for courses, and attend classes at both installations.

The current course offerings at MCAS Yuma and YPG is available at Schedule of Classes (choose "Marine Corps Air Station" or "Yuma Proving Ground" for "Campus/Location").

Service Members Opportunity Colleges (SOC)

Arizona Western College is a participant in the Service Members Opportunity Colleges(SOC), a consortium of national higher education associations. As a participant of SOC Degree Network System, AWC maintains the necessary flexibility of programs and procedures to enhance access to educational opportunities.

Getting Credits for Military Experience and Service School

Arizona Western College accepts a maximum of 24 credits from non-traditional credit. When applicable, credit earned from Military training may be used for degree credit as equivalent courses in the major or as general electives up to the maximum number of credits prescribed by the specific program requirements.

"A Guide to the Evaluation of Education Experience in the Armed Services" published by the American Council on Education (ACE) is the basis for evaluating the training and experiences in military service.

A course evaluation may be requested by submitting an official copy of appropriate documentation directly to Arizona Western College. To request military transcripts, select the appropriate branch below:

ARMY: Army/American Council on Education Registry Transcript System (AARTS)

NAVY/MARINE: Sailor/Marine American Council on Education Registry Transcript(SMART)

AIR FORCE: Community College of the AirForce (CCAF)

COAST GUARD: United States Coast Guard/U.S. Department of Homeland Security
