Admission Criteria
Our open entry admission policy will allow you to enroll and start taking classes whenever you are ready. You must meet one of the following criteria to enroll:
- Be a graduate from an accredited high school
- Have a high school certificate of equivalency (GED)
- Be 18 years of age or older and demonstrate evidence of potential success in the community college
- Transfer in good standing from another college or university
- Be under 18 years old and meet certain other requirements (see the AWC Catalog Admissions policy for more information). *
*Signature of parent or guardian is required for persons under 18. Download the Parent Signature Form and fax with parent's signature to Admissions & Registration at 928.344.7543.
Students not meeting any one of the above criteria may still be admitted on an individual basis. For more detailed information regarding admission policy and procedures refer to our College Catalog or contact the Admissions & Registration Office at 928.344.7550.
Admission to the college, however, does not mean that a student will automatically be admitted to their program of choice.
Incoming Transfer Students
The first step in transfering to AWC from another institution is to apply for admission. Once admitted, students follow the process for official evaluation of transfer credits.
