AWC Student Government Association (SGA)

Getting involved with Student Government!

The AWC SGA has been hard at work all year creating events and engaging with students in order to improve quality of life at AWC. SGA invites YOU to get involved by getting on the Agenda! Meetings are held every Monday from 3:30pm-4:30pm in the Francis Morris Board Room (Email Shara.Roberts@azwestern.edu to be placed as a guest on the agenda).

The AWC Student Government Association is an organized body of students that represents student interests by advocating student concerns, promoting a community atmosphere at AWC and improving student life by providing a variety of activities. The AWC Student Government Association serves as the voice of the entire student body and helps make decisions for the benefit of current and future students at Arizona Western College.

Involvement in SGA not only helps to ensure that AWC remains sensitive to the views of its students; it also provides learning experiences in leadership that are valued in Universities and employers. Each student's participation can help strengthen Student Government and we invite all AWC students to participate in SGA!

For more information, including questions about scholarship opportunities call 344-7581 or email us at Student.Government@azwestern.edu.

For more info on activities on campus check out SGA's Facebook

IS Student Government is right for you?

Student Government Association provides students with an excellent opportunity to play a key role on campus during their first two years of college. The SGA is established and recognized by the college for the purpose of promoting student activities and the general welfare of the student body. Inaddition, SGA will oversee all the clubs and organizations on campus. We encourage all college students to assume the responsibility for self-government.
