YUMA, AZ – The Arizona Western College Matador women’s basketball team remained in the NJCAA Division 1 Top 25 National Poll following their victory last week at Phoenix College and remain ranked 21st.
Arizona Western was has been in the Top 25 for every poll released this season. AWC is currently 8-4 overall and 5-2 in ACCAC play.
“Looking at the poll this week, Central Arizona is back in at #10 and we (AWC) are in the Top 25 as well and it’s a credit to our conference. The ACCAC even has some teams in the Division 2 poll as well,” said AWC Head Coach Patrick Cunningham.
AWC won their lone game last week in thrilling fashion at Phoenix College by a final of 72-66.
The Matadors have been off since the Phoenix game last Thursday for winter break.

The scheduled tip time for the game is 1pm (MST). You can hear the game live online by logging on to the Matador Sports Network. The Tournament lasts Thursday through Saturday and all games will be broadcasted live on the internet.
