Lady Matadors Stay At 14 In Latest Poll
Derek Diesner
Oct. 2nd, 2013

YUMA, AZ – The Top 20 National Poll for women’s volleyball was released Wednesday morning by the NJCAA and Arizona Western College remained ranked 14th in the nation following a pair of victories against South Mountain and Yavapai.

AWC earned 21 points in the poll this week, three points less than the Snow College which is ranked just above the Matadors at 13th in the most recent volleyball rankings.

No teams were dropped from the top 20 this week, just small shuffling throughout the rankings. The biggest leap and fall in this week’s poll was three spots.

Five schools are receiving votes, but still are not ranked in the top 20 and those are Laredo College, Colby C.C., Hill College, Hutchinson C.C., and Casper College.

Up next for the Lady Matadors is a home match later this evening against ACCAC foe the Mesa Thunderbirds. The match this evening is scheduled to begin at 7pm inside of “The House” on the campus of Arizona Western College.
