YUMA, ARIZONA – The Top 20 National Poll for men’s soccer was released Wednesday morning by the NJCAA and Arizona Western College’s men’s squad remained ranked 16th overall.

The AWC men remained in the top 20 for the fifth straight week and are coming off of a week that saw the Matadors go 2-1.

In this latest release of the poll, only one new team was added; that being Muskegon Community College, while Monroe College was dropped from the rankings completely.

Dakota County Technical College witnessed the largest drop in this week’s rankings, falling from ninth in the polls last week to 19th this week.

Fellow ACCAC members that are currently in the top 20 include Yavapai (9-0-1) ranked fifth and Phoenix College (9-0-0) ranked seventh.

The AWC men will play at Scottsdale on Thursday at 3:30pm before returning home to Yuma for a women’s and men’s doubleheader on Saturday September 28, when the Matadors welcome the Phoenix College Bears to town. The women will get things started at 4:30pm followed by the men at 7pm.
