Matador Menís Basketball rises to 20th in latest NJCAA DI Basketball Poll

Defending Region I Champs move up three spots in second straight poll appearance

Colorado Springs, CO Ė February 5, 2013 -- Arizona Western College is proud to announce that the Matador Menís Basketball team is ranked 20th in the latest NJCAA Division I Menís Basketball Poll released earlier today. Itís the second straight week that the Matadors have appeared after ending a two-year absence from the national poll last week. Itís a jump of three spots this week for the Matadors, who hold a nine-game winning streak after Saturdayís 74-59 victory at Community College. The Matadors are one of 3 ACCAC Menís Basketball teams ranked in the polls this week (Central Arizona is 16th & Cochise is 22nd). The Matadors return home tomorrow night to host Eastern Arizona College in an ACCAC Menís-Womenís Basketball doubleheader beginning at 5:30PM at ĎThe Houseí on the AWC campus.
