3 straight wins over last seven days helps Matadors maintain standing among NJCAA’s elite dozen
Colorado Springs, CO – October 10, 2012 -- Arizona Western College is proud to announce that for the second consecutive week, the Matador Soccer team has maintained its spot in the NJCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Poll-released earlier today. The Matadors-who won their third straight match last night, defeating Phoenix College, 4-1, at the AWC Soccer Field-remained in the #12 slot this week. They are one of two ACCAC teams to represent the conference in the poll this week (Yavapai is ranked 2nd for the 6th consecutive week). The Matadors will try to improve on that national ranking when they return to action tomorrow (Thursday) against Scottsdale Community College in a road matinee.
