Saturday loss to defending Region I Champion Pima slides AWC to 12th in new poll

Colorado Springs, CO Ė October 3, 2012 -- Arizona Western College is proud to announce that the Matador Soccer team has secured a spot in the NJCAA Division I Menís Soccer Poll-released earlier today-for the 28th consecutive poll (dating back to the start of the 2010 season). The Matadors dropped one spot from 11th to 12th this week-following their 4-3 loss to defending Region I Champion Pima Community College this past Saturday in Tucson. They are one of two ACCAC teams to represent the conference in the poll this week (Yavapai is ranked 2nd for the 5th consecutive week). The Matadors will try to improve on that national ranking when they return home tomorrow (Thursday) night to host Paradise Valley Community College.
