Matador Football remains 4th in latest ‘Dirty 30’ Poll

Mats’ 20-6 win over archrival Eastern Arizona maintains Top 5 status

Yuma, Arizona – October 2, 2012 -- Arizona Western College is proud to announce that for the second consecutive week, the Matador Football team is in the #4 spot in the latest ‘Dirty 30’ national football poll from The Matadors-who had to grind out a defensive-minded 20-6 win this past Saturday over the Eastern Arizona Gila Monsters-have now been in the Top 5 in the ‘Dirty 30’ Poll for 15 consecutive polls-dating back to mid-September of last year. The Matadors are one of three WSFL teams ranked in the ‘Dirty 30’ this week, with Scottsdale dropping two spots to 30th after losing to the other ranked WSFL team, 21st-ranked Snow College, this past weekend. The Matadors will finish off their current two-game road trip at Phoenix College this Saturday night, October 6th.
