Celebrated Chicana Writer Ana Castillo at AWC on April 8

Yuma, AZ- (March 25, 2013)— Ana Castillo, celebrated Chicana poet, novelist, short story writer, and essayist, will share her work, thoughts and insights during two author events on Monday, April 8, 2013, on the AWC Main Campus, 2020 South Avenue 8E in Yuma.


The first event, an author reception with question and answer session, will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Schoening Conference Center South Wing. Later, an author reading, question and answer session and book signing will be held at 6 p.m. at the same location.


Castillo’s writings include “The Guardians,” “I Ask the Impossible: Poems,” “Loverboys: Stories” and “My Father Was a Toltec: and Selected Poems.”
Both events are free and open to the public.
