A Fine Art’s Showcase Slated for February 15 and 16
Yuma, AZ (February 11, 2013) --- Artists and attendees alike will surely delight in AWCTheatre’s production, “A Fine Art’s Showcase” which runs Friday and Saturday, February 15 and 16 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the AWC Theater on AWC’s main campus, 2020 South Avenue 8E in Yuma.
The showcase is a gathering of actors, singers, dancers, artists, musicians, and other fine “arts-ists” from AWC and the Yuma Community. If you have a desire to play, then student director Andrea Mungia will be happy to have you audition.
If you have a desire to attend and enjoy, AWCTheatre will gladly accept donations of $10, or five articles of clean, wearable clothing, or five items of non-perishable food. Monetary donations will be used to continue to bring the best possible theatre to the Yuma community; the clothing will be donated to the Crossroads Mission; and the food will be given to the Yuma Community Food Bank.
“These organizations serve the greater Yuma society and are the only organizations that do what they do for our community, and AWCTheatre gladly supports their efforts for all of us,” says Chip Straley, AWCTheatre Professor. “AWCTheatre believes that theatre, and indeed all art, ought to serve the community. This is one way we can do just that.”
