Panel Planned to Discuss the Essentials of the Middle East Hear from local residents with roots in the Middle East


Yuma, AZ (January 22, 2013) — The Arizona Western College Main Campus Rotaract Club and International Programs present the Essentials of the Middle East presentation on Thursday, January 24th beginning at 12:15. The panel discussion will take place in the Schoening Conference Center’s South Wing.

Hear from local residents with roots in the Middle East during the discussion and presentations. Local professionals from Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Armenia, Lebanon, and more will present on topics including culture, people, food and music.

The guest speakers will include:
•Dr. Dania Sweidan– Ob-Gyn doctor in Yuma originally from Jordan
•Zarmineh, professional belly dancer from Iran - The art of the M.E.
•Mr. Najeh Edeis – Professional Civil Engineer from Palestine


Following the program discussion the participants will have the opportunity to taste foods of the Middle East donated by the Muslin Sisters Synpo.

The community is invited to attend this free event.
