AWC Child Learning Lab Hosts Fuddle the Firefly
Fuddle Reads His Book To The Kids
Yuma, Arizona (November 2, 2009) – Arizona Western College’s Child Development Learning Lab (CDLL) will host Fuddle the Firefly on Thursday, November 5th at 9:30am. Fuddle the Firefly is the mascot for the K.I.D.S. (Kindness Is Doing Something) Cuddle Closet local non-profit organization. Fuddle and the directors of the program will read the book Fuddle Learns to Cuddle to the children in the preschool room.
Fuddle is the mascot that was created in the spring of this year. Fuddle is the main character of the Fuddle Learns to Cuddle child’s book. The book is a fundraiser for the organization. The book is a story of Yuma and the adventures of Fuddle as he visits Yuma area businesses and events.
K.I.D.S. (Kindness Is Doing Something) Cuddle Closet is a local non profit that began April of 2008 as a group to donate gift bags to all children in the Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC). Every child was given a gender and age specific ‘Cuddle Kit.’ The Kits contained socks, a toy, a book and items to make the children feel safer in the hospital.
