The Yavapai RoughRiders and Arizona Western Matadors battled all afternoon long at Kammann Field on Tuesday afternoon, and when the dust settled both teams earned a victory with Yavapai taking game one by a final of 4-0 and Arizona Western earning a comeback victory in game two 11-8.

Lady Matadors Move Up To 3rd In The Nation
The Lady Matadors softball team remains on a tear as they have won nine straight games and 18 out of their last 19. Because of this amazing play, AWC has been rewarded, as they moved up two spots to third in the nation in the most recent NJCAA Top 20 National Poll.

Head baseball coach Drew Keehn and his staff, are proud to recognize pitcher Brandon Anderson as the April Student-Athlete of the Month from the Matador baseball team here at Arizona Western College.
