We hope you’ll find this site to be informative and useful in understanding diversity, learning how Arizona Western College embraces diversity, and obtaining information about various diversity activities in the coming year. The College is committed to creating an environment where diversity is valued and all individuals can fulfill their highest potential. Respect for diversity of thought, culture, and all human differences is the cornerstone of all our actions.

A primary goal of the Office of Diversity is to develop sensitivity to the cultural and linguistic issues that reflect our student population. The Office works toward this goal by creating opportunities for faculty and staff to experience the language and culture of our majority population first hand, and promotes the acquisition of multicultural learning strategies that best meet the needs of our student population. These opportunities include coordinating special events throughout the year which focus on cultural diversity topics that are unique to our region. Guest speakers, student panels, film dialogue, and community forums are just a few of the mediums used.

We are located on the main campus in the Center for Teaching Effectiveness (CTE) building. Our office hours are Monday thru Thursday, 7am – 5pm.
