Honors Director
Aloha kakou,
My name is Elizabeth L. K. Renaud and I am the Professor of Early Childhood Education at Arizona Western College.
I have earned a BS in Early Childhood Education from Chaminade University of Honolulu and a MEd in Early Childhood Education from Northern Arizona University. My certifications include Montessori Education for 3-6 year olds and a Reading Specialist endorsement.
In Hawaii I taught within Montessori Accredited early care & education centers as a lead teacher for 9 years. I have led both toddler and mixed aged preschool classrooms. I also served as the Cooperating Teacher for a Chaminade University Intern.
My family moved to Yuma in 1998 and I have been working with AWC ever since. My primary responsibility is to serve as the Community College Faculty Supervisor for Early Childhood Education Interns practicing within Yuma and La Paz counties. My position affords me the opportunity to network with community members and build partnerships with early childhood care/education institutions.
I am an academic advisor for the Early Childhood Education program. I may be contacted for advisement or for general program information at 344-7560 or elizabeth.renaud@azwestern.edu.
Malama pono,
Liz Renaud
