The CTE director position is a rotating assignment with the director coming from the faculty ranks for a period of up to three years. Selection of the director is normally done through an internal application process. The CTE director receives 9 hours of reassign time to carry out the mission of the CTE. The director maintains faculty status by teaching 2 three-credit courses or 1 six-credit course in his/her academic department. Following completion of this assignment, the CTE director returns to his/her original teaching position. Due to unforeseen changes in administrative positions, Nancy Blitz will continue to serve as director for a 4th year. The search for applicants for the next academic year will be held during Fall Semester 2011 with training of her successor to take place in Spring 2012. The position is open to FT Faculty who have taught at AWC for a minimum of 3 years.
