About Yuma Youth Choir:
Yuma Youth Choir (YYC) was designed to fill a growing void in music education in public schools. In addition, YYC:
- Gives students a positive alternative for extra-curricular activities
- Has grown to 50 students ranging in age from 7 to 21 years of age since 2003
- Helps transform students through the experiences of art, performance, and service
- Helps develop students develop work ethic, discipline, self-confidence, self-esteem, responsibility and the desire for excellence.
Yuma Youth Choir is a class at AWC that meets several different days of the week in small groups. For the next semester's schedule, please see Schedule of Classes to the left.
Upcoming Performances:
Friday, October 9: Early Fall Concert - 7:00pm, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 16th Street and 14th Avenue, featuring AWC Chorale, Yuma Chamber Singers and Yuma Youth Choir. $5 donation at the door goes to music scholarships.
Monday, October 12: AWC World Heritage Week Kickoff - 7:00pm, Main Campus
Saturday, November 14: Yuma Youth Choir Fifth Annual Broadway Concert - 7:00pm, Historic Yuma Theatre, 254 Main Street. $5 donation at the door goes to music scholarships.

Sunday, July 4, 2010: American Celebration of Music in Italy, Florence
