Obtaining Access to a Course

To access Blackboard, each student must activate his/her account to obtain a user name and password, which can be obtained by going to this site accounts.azwestern.edu and following the onscreen instructions. 

After you've activated your account, follow these steps to access your Blackboard courses.  

1. Connect to the Internet using either Internet Explorer or Firefox.
2. Go to the Blackboard login page.
3. Log in to the system using your AWC username and password.
4. Go to "My Courses" and click the appropriate link(s) to access your class(es).

Note: If you do not see your class(es) listed under "My Courses," please contact your instructor. The course site could be unavailable or you may not be enrolled yet. It takes 24 hours for enrollment information to be updated in Blackboard.  Contact the AWC Help Desk for technical assistance.
