The CTE Director position is a rotating, full-time, non-probationary, Faculty assignment for three years. Selection of the Director is an internal application process through the Vice President of Learning Services area. Following completion of this assignment, the CTE Director returns to his/her original teaching position.

Professional Development Committee
The Professional Development Committee (PDC) develops programs and activities for Faculty, which lead to professional growth and career enhancement. It addresses such issues as renewal, incentives for research and new projects, orientation and mentoring, evaluation and professional growth programs. The PDC also serves in an advisory capacity to the Center for Teaching Effectiveness. Committee recommendations are submitted to the Vice President of Learning Services.
The Professional Development Committee is responsible for the planning of the annual Professional Development Day (PDD) held in the Spring. The PDD is a daylong event devoted to the exchange of ideas related to teaching.
