the great courses

In the eyes and minds of a strong majority of impressionable, mostly young students, college faculty embody Auguste Rodin's iconic sculpture, The Thinker. They look to us as an example of what it means to be educated. To keep our minds sharp we too must continue to actively engage in intellectual pursuits.

The AWC library, in collaboration with the Yuma County library, has an extensive collection of audio and video courses, called The Great Courses, available to check out. All that is needed is an AWC and/or Yuma County library card. The Great Courses collection covers engaging and challenging lectures in diverse subjects and fields- spanning thousands of hours of content- including history, science, philosophy, mathematics, literature, economics, and the arts.
