Welcome to the Center for Teaching Effectiveness (cte)

Mission Statement: The Center for Teaching Effectiveness is committed to providing a comprehensive professional development program for all faculty that makes teaching and learning the focal point of college activities and decision making.

Arizona Western College established the Center for Teaching Effectiveness in October 1990 with Title III Grant funds. The CTE was established on the belief that individuals, departments, and institutions have unlimited capacity for professional growth and development. Based on these beliefs the faculty, staff and administration have made a commitment to assure the resources necessary to provide a comprehensive program that will meet the constantly changing needs faculty face in the 21st century teaching-learning paradigm.

Teaching Excellence Award 2015

Congratulations to Stephen Moore, Professor of English for being selected as the recipient of the 2015 AWC Teaching Excellence Award. Prof. Moore was honored at the annual Yuma County Teacher of the Year Banquet in April 2015.
