You will gain a management-oriented perspective of vegetable production technology.
What kinds of classes can you look forward to in this program?
Vegetable Crop Production
This course will provide you with a practical approach to vegetable growing. You will learn the production practices and principles of economics related to vegetable crops grown in the Southwest as well as other parts of the country.
Soils
In this lecture/lab course you will learn about the chemical, physical, and biological properties of soils and their relationship to growth and nutrition. You will also learn the origin, nature, classification of soils, and problems of saline soils.
Techniques in Oxyacetylene Welding and Cutting
You will have the opportunity in this lecture/lab course to develop skills needed in oxyacetylene welding including brazing, soldering, surfacing, and cutting.
How long will it take you to complete this degree?
By taking classes full-time, you can complete this 64-credit degree program in four or five semesters.
