This degree will prepare you for entry into the various employment opportunities in the production areas of agriculture.
What will you learn in his program?
You will learn the importance of plant science in agriculture. You will learn germination, growth, reproduction, and other plant processes. You will also learn how plant processes are influenced by the environment.
What kinds of classes can you look forward to in this program?
Vegetable Crop Production
In this course you will learn a practical approach to vegetable growing in the Southwest as well as other parts of the country. This lab will teach various principles of economics, and production practices of principal vegetable crops.
Pests and Pesticides
In this lab you will learn all about chemical safety and equipment, study of specific insects and insecticides, weeds and herbicides, plant pathogens and fungicides, as well as vertebrate pest control and plant growth regulators.
Plant Propagation
This fascinating lab will prepare you with skills and knowledge in sexual and asexual propagation of plants, including grafting, and green house systems.

Taking classes full-time, you can complete this 64-credit degree in four semesters.
