This degree program will prepare you for a career in diagnostic medical imaging. You can work in hospitals, clinics, and other health care agencies.

You will be prepared to take the certification exam administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
What kinds of classes can you look forward to in this program?
Basic and Advanced Radiographic Procedures
In this course you will be introduced to radiographic positioning terminology, the proper manipulation of equipment, positioning and alignment of the anatomical structure and equipment, and evaluation of images for proper demonstration of basic anatomy and related pathology.
Radiographic Anatomy and Physiology
You will relate basic human anatomy and physiology to the various images. The localization and identification of human anatomy on the radiographic image will be emphasized.
Principals of Radiographic Imaging
During this class you will study the equipment and physics of x-ray production, basic x-ray circuits, and the relationship of equipment components to the imaging process.
How long will it take you to complete this degree?
Taking classes full-time, you can complete this 82-credit degree in six semesters. Additionally, 25 hours of prerequisite course work must be completed before applying to the program.
