Industrial Technology (Occupational Degree)

What can you do with this degree?
You will be able to obtain an entry-level position in the specific field that interests you.

What can CTE programs do for you?
Career Technical Education programs allow students to develop skills in career technical areas leading to employment or improved employment opportunities. Programs such as Industrial Technology incorporate a variety of skills such as plumbing, soldering, electrical trouble shooting and welding just to name a few.

What will you learn in this program?
This program is flexible and can be tailored to your specific technological and employment needs.

What kinds of classes can I look forward to?

Industrial Graphics–Drafting
This course will provide you with and understanding of the role the graphic language plays in the conception/analysis for the communications of ideas for industry. Drafting standards/conventions and the methods of graphic preparation are stressed through lecture and demonstration.

Machine Tool Operations
You will learn about various machine tools and the development of the needed skills to operate and perform some fundamental setups. Machine tools used in the course are the drill press, vertical milling machine, horizontal milling machine, and the engine lathe. You will also learn about measuring, layout, blueprint reading, calculations, and tool geometry.

Electrical Fundamentals
This course covers basic electrical fundamentals, component parts of electrical circuits, terminology, and applications.
