You will learn job entry-level skills as identified by educators and the American industry, including manufacturing and construction.
What kinds of classes can you look forward to in this program?
Industrial Graphics Drafting
You will learn the role the graphic language plays in the conception/analysis for the communication of ideas for industry. Drafting standards/conventions and the methods of graphic preparation are stressed through lecture and demonstration.
Construction Graphics Drafting
This lecture/lab course will cover the basic principles and specific practices related to areas of construction in understanding architectural design, symbols, abbreviations, terminology, and interpreting the use of materials. You will develop a complete set of working drawings for a single-family dwelling, and you will learn how they are used to communicate designer’s ideas to the builder.
Plane Surveying
You will learn the fundamentals of plane surveying, theory use and adjustment of the tapes, engineer’s level, compass, and transit. The applications of surveying methods to problems of leveling, line direction, measurement of angles, measurement of distance, and transverse computations.

Taking classes full-time, you can complete this 32-credit certificate in two semesters.
