Detention Officer Operations(Occupational Certificate)

The Detention Officer Operations Certificate is designed for the academy certified detention officer wishing to earn an entry-level credential.

What will you learn in this program?
In this program, you will be able to demonstrate basic knowledge in administration of justice studies that will prepare you to obtain an position within the field of detention officer programs.

Wellness for Law Enforcement
This course will focus on the development and demonstration of each participant’s mental and physical condition, through structured exercise and classroom education.

Community Corrections
This course develops correctional supervisors and managers in their field. The class includes personnel practices, employee discipline and motivation, management theory, budget, and problem solving.

This course develops correctional supervisors and managers in their field. The class includes personnel practices, employee discipline, and motivation, management theory, budget, and problem solving.

Taking classes full-time, you can complete this 24-credit certificate in two semesters.
