You will explore various societal issues and social problems. You will also learn more about the processes of the mind, mental states, health, human development, and related topics.
Typical Classes:
Social Psychology
In this class you will learn all about methods of social research, basic psychological factors, social attitudes, communication, society, and culture.
Racial and Ethnic Relations
You will discuss various problems associated with minority groups in the United States. The class will focus on characteristics of minority/dominant relationships in terms of prejudice, discrimination, segregation, and assimilation.
Marriage and the Family
In this course, you will explore current attitudes and values that are evident in today’s dating patterns and marital life styles. The class will also examine values and attitudes in the past.
Time to completion, taking classes full-time:
Taking classes full-time, you can complete this 64-credit degree in four semesters.
