Microcomputer Business Applications (Occupational Degree)

What can you do with this degree?
This degree will help you obtain an entry-level position within the business field.

What will you learn in this program?
This program is set up to help you develop office skills in order to obtain employment.

What kinds of classes can you look forward to in this program?

Keyboarding—Intermediate
This course will help you develop your speed and accuracy in developing letters tables, reports, and clipart. You will be using a word processing program.

Introduction to Operating Systems
You will be introduced to basic computer operating systems, which may include DOS, Macintosh, Windows 95, and UNIX. You will learn basic usage, file management, backup and recovery, sorting, and other routine operations.

Administration Procedures and Practices
This course will prepare you for managing today’s office. You will become proficient in the procedures and equipment used.

How long will it take you to complete this degree?
Taking classes full-time, you can complete this 64-credit degree in four semesters.
