This degree is designed to prepare you for an exciting career in early childhood education where you can be employed in a day care, Head Start, at- risk preschools, or other early childhood environments
What will you learn in this program?
You will learn about health, safety, and nutrition for children, along with skills to help guide children’s behavior. You will also learn various activities to help aid in the development of young children.
What kinds of classes can you look forward to in this program?
Home, School, and Community Relations
In this class you will learn about the valuable partner-ship between parents and teachers, and you will learn ways to involve parents in the child’s center school, which will essentially contribute to the child’s well being.
Activities of Early Childhood Education
This class gives insight into methods and materials used to assist children in the learning process. Curriculum areas include creative, artistic, and sensory expression, language arts, music and movement education, science and mathematics, field trips, and special activities.
Child Growth and Development
You will learn the human growth and development process from conception through early adolescence.
How long will it take you to complete this degree?
Taking classes full-time, you can complete this 64-credit degree in four semesters.
