You will have the opportunity to work in a school-aged childcare setting. You will also learn various skills to assist you in the childcare profession.
What kinds of classes can you look forward to in this program?
Nutrition
You will be introduced to nutrition and methods of using nutrition in the early childhood setting. You will also help with structuring and implementing nutrition education in the early childhood program.
Ages and Stages: The Middle Years
You will learn about the development and research in children from five to twelve years of age. Various comparisons will be made in the principles of physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth from school-aged children.
Creativity for School-Aged Children
You will learn various activities that will help promote creativity in school-aged children.

Taking classes full-time, you can complete this 15-credit certificate in one or two semesters.
