Office Administration (Occupational Certificate)

What can you do with this certificate?
This certificate will help you obtain an entry-level position as a file clerk, receptionist, clerk typist, cashier, teller, hospital admitting clerk, transcribing machine operator, and other related positions.

What will you learn in this program?
You will learn marketable office skills that will help you in your current office job or your potential office position.

What kinds of classes can you look forward to in this program?

Business Application Concepts
This course will help you understand and apply basic business concepts and apply business computations using calculators and computers to solve problems involving budgets, discounts, markup, interest, credit plans, checking and savings accounts, payroll, and taxes.

Office Technology Systems 1
This lab/lecture course will help you apply your occupational intelligence. You will master at least three skills and have the responsibility of controlling the systems involved in maintaining proper management of each transaction.

Administration Procedures and Practices
Today’s office is in a state of change. This course will help you manage today’s electronic age. You will learn how electronic technology is being extended to the managerial workstation.

Taking classes full time, you can complete this 30-credit certificate in two semesters.
