What can you do with this certificate?
This certificate will allow you to obtain a position related to computer networking, managing of facilities and network administrator responsibilities.

What will you learn in this program?
You will learn a basic knowledge in computer networking.

What kinds of classes can you look forward to in this program?

Introduction to Operating Systems
This lecture/lab course will introduce you to the basic operation systems that are currently in use in the computing environment. You will be introduced to the most commonly used min you and mainframe operating systems along with networking and communications platforms.

Systems Analysis and Design
You will be introduced to the fundamental tools and techniques used in analyzing organizational information systems. Topics include systems research, design, revision, and implementation of information systems.

Networking 1
You will become productive in the network management environments. You will use various operating systems and the course will focus on the history of networking, networking literacy, management of network systems, network communications, various cabling configurations, mass storage requirements, sharing resources capabilities, network file management, and security considerations with a LAN environment.

Taking classes full time, you can complete this 30-credit certificate in two semesters.
