Typical Classes:

Home, School, and Community Relations
In this class you will learn about the valuable partnership between parents and teachers, and you will learn ways to involve parents in the child’s center school, which will essentially contribute to the child’s well being.
Activities of Early Childhood Education
This class gives insight into methods and materials used to assist children in the learning process. Curriculum areas include creative, artistic, and sensory expression, language arts, music and movement education, science and mathematics, field trips, and special activities.
Child Growth and Development
You will learn the human growth and development process from conception through early adolescence.

Time to completion, taking classes full-time:

Taking classes full-time, you can complete this 22-credit certificate in four semesters.

Career Options:

This certificate is designed to prepare you for an exciting career in early childhood education where you can be employed in a day care, Head Start, at- risk preschools, or other early childhood environments.
This 22 credit certificate can be layered on a post Baccalaureate degree to satisfy the Arizona Department of Education Early Childhood Endorsement.
