What kinds of classes can you look forward to in this program?
Sports Injury Management
In this course you will learn various principles and techniques that will aid in preventing, treating, and rehabilitating sports related injuries. Some of the principles and techniques taught include recognition of sports injuries, therapeutic methods, mechanisms of sports injuries, and taping and wrapping techniques.
Sports Psychology
You will learn the basics of applied sports and adolescent psychology. This course will also include imagery, stress management, and attentional skills development for performance enhancement.
Fitness Nutrition
This class discusses the basics of human nutrition and their relationship to the nutrition requirements of the athlete. There will be a special emphasis on food fads and fallacies associated with the food practices of athletes.
How long will it take you to complete this certificate?
Taking classes full-time, you can complete this 18-credit certificate in one or two semesters.
