Mission Statement
The Yuma/La Paz Tech Prep Leadership Team (TPLT) will provide the structure to prepare students to fill the need for high-quality, well-trained workforce ready employees by:
1. Providing a seamless educational pathway connecting high school programs to the community college programs;
2. Promoting equal opportunity for all students to experience a high quality education with a strong emphasis in academic and technical studies; and
3. Further expand, strengthen, and validate this educational experience by partnering with business, labor, community and all levels of education

The Yuma/La Paz Tech Prep Leadership Team is comprised of members representing secondary institutions, post-secondary institutions, and business and community partners. The Leadership is divided into three major components: Leadership Team, Executive Council and the Executive Board.
The Leadership Team consists of all members and the Team does not have voting rights.
The Executive Council is comprised of secondary, post-secondary, and business and community partners who are elected from the Leadership Team Members. Each member of the Executive Council has one vote.
The Executive Board is comprised of a President, Vice President, Representative, Secretary and Treasurer. The President, Vice President, and Representative are elected from members of the Executive Council, by the Leadership Team. The Secretary and Treasurer are appointed positions; the Articulation Assistant for Tech Prep will be appointed to the position of Secretary. A representative of the Fiscal Agent will be appointed to the position of Treasurer. Neither the Secretary nor the Treasurer has voting rights.
