The Program admitted its first students in September 1967, and received full accreditation from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) on September 24th, 1970.
The Program prepares students with a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing, and it has an exit option at the Practical Nurse level following the second and third semesters.
The Program offers students a well-equipped 12-bed nursing skills lab and interactive computer lab.
The faculty and staff include the Director of Nursing, 8 full-time faculty, a full-time registered nurse as our Lab Coordinator, a department secretary, 3 part-time lab technicians, and part-time clinical faculty to maintain a 10:1 student/clinical faculty ratio. Students graduating from our Program are eligible for licensing as either Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN).
