  • Citizenship preparation classes
  • Workforce programs which bring together the needs of business and industry with individuals to meet their mutual needs for skills in the workplace.
  • Family Literacy & Migrant Even Start programs which bring parents and children together to foster an increased appreciation for education and to facilitate the basic skills of both parents and children.
  • Computer Literacy
  • Housing Opportunities

MLK Jr. Neighborhood Center

In partnership with the City of Yuma and with prior assistance from the HUD Office of the University Partnerships, the college maintains an office, information center, and computer lab in the Martin Luther King Jr. Neighborhood Center. Conveniently located in northwestern Yuma in the Carver neighborhood, computer literacy and CDA Certification classes are held at the Center. Pre-arranged placement testing for AWC admission is available.

We understand the challenges of the adult learner and we will do everything we can to help you achieve your goals.
