Course Reserves and Circulation
Julia Williamson, 317-5884, Circulation Manager
- Reserves: A yellow reserve card should be filled out for each item being placed on reserve for a class. Indicate how long students may use the item in the library, and when the item should be withdrawn from the reserve collection. The item and card should be brought to Reserve Desk in the library. Please allow 3 days processing time. For additional information, see the AWC Reserve Policy and the NAU-Yuma Reserve Policy.
- Circulation: Library cards are issued at the Circulation Desk. Faculty and staff may borrow books through the end of the semester. Videos may be borrowed for 4 days only.
Librarians
Library Instruction
Call a librarian to request a library tour or orientation for your class. Allow 7 days advance notice for scheduling. Notify staff of the special research needs of your class so that the tour can be tailored to your students' needs. Fill out a Library Instruction Request Form here.
Off-Campus Services
To request an instruction session at your off-campus site, fill out the instruction request form and to request a librarian to provide an instruction session in your online (Blackboard) class contact Tina Sibley, 317-6491. Tina can "embed" into your online class for a week to support students on a specific assignment. Or if you would simply like an Ask-A-Librarian discussion board in your online or hybrid class, or links to library tutorials, contact Tina to arrange.
Link to the library resource guide for Blackboard and Off-campus students and create a library navigational button in your Blackboard classroom.
To request delivery of library materials to an AWC distance instruction site (San Luis, Parker, Somerton, Wellton, Quartzsite and MCAS) please fill out a delivery request form.
To request a library card, use this online request form.
Services for Off-Campus Students
Do you teach an online class? If so, point your students to the Services for Off-Campus Students guide. This guide will help them find resources and assistance for their class research assignments.
Collection Development
Faculty are encouraged to suggest new titles to add to the library's collection. We appreciate your expertise. Direct recommendations to the librarians or fill out a purchase request form. Books, videos, periodicals, CD's, and other materials can be ordered for addition to the library collection and to complement the course curriculum. Call Tymmi Woods at 317-6434. Alternatively, you may fill out a purchase request.
Interlibrary Loan
Books and articles not in our library can be borrowed from other libraries, per our Interlibrary Loan Policy. Contact Rickley Prewitt at 344-7733.
Faculty Checklist
Be sure to start the semester out right. Take advantage of the many services the library offers by completing the faculty checklist.
Link Converter
Use the Link Converter to create stable URLs for databases licensed to the Academic Library. To comply with copyright laws, you should link to an article in your online course or website using a stable link instead of uploading the PDF or text file.
